Fernando Imboden and his wife Andrea run a farm in St.Niklaus.
They are the owners of the Riedji alp.
Paul Summermatter is citizen of St. Niklaus and is linked to the Riedji since his childhood.
He and his wife Susanne were the owners of the Riedji alp until 2014. They live in Egnach at the border of
the lake of Constance.
Daniel Müller-Jentsch is of German origin and studied economics at the London School of Economics
and at Yale University. He worked in the Brussels office of the World Bank for nine years and
obtained his Ph.D. in economics from Nürnberg University in 2002.
In early 2003, he initiated the Riedji project together with Paul Summermatter,
whom he first met in the late 1980s through their common friend Axel Nastansky.
He now lives in Zurich with his family and works for an economic think-tank.
Axel Nastansky discovered the Matter valley during his high-school days at the Kantonsschule St. Gallen.
He studied renewable energy at Evergreen State College in Washington and now lives in Portland,
Oregon with his family. Axel works as an IT consultant and photographer.
